On the exhibition area of 4053 sq.m., theparticipants presented the latest developments in the sphere of analytical and measuring laboratory equipment, a wide range of general laboratory equipment, laboratory furniture and glassware, services in the field of standardization and certification, accreditation of laboratories, development and introduction of methods, personnel training, and laboratory engineering.

The organizers of Exhibition ensured the presence of specialists of leading enterprises in the sphere of laboratory equipment, and created comfortable working conditions for participants and visitors of the Exhibition. High information awareness of «LABComplEX-2009» of many thousands of specialists as the result of broad advertising campaign ensured the visit of exhibition by 5097 specialists.

The following local producers participated in «LABComplEX-2009»: Elvatech LLC - a leading domestic manufacturer of roentgen-spectrum equipment; Thermoengineering SPC a domestic manufacturer of Termolab TM thermal units; Expert TM - the largest manufacturer of laboratory furniture in Ukraine; Steklopribor JSC - a manufacturer of laboratory equipment and glassware; IT Lab LLC - a developer of complex software for laboratories and producer of PCR test-systems for GMO detection in food products; Bortek LLC - a developer and manufacturer of different electro-thermal equipment and water treatment systems; Diagnostic systems - Ukraine LLC a manufacturer of immunoenzymometric test systems and preparations for quality control of diagnostic studies; Expertcentre Ukraine LLC - a designer and producer of instruments of radiation control and ecological monitoring; one of basic activities of the company is development and creation of mobile laboratories of various types; Analytica SPF, which is engaged in development and implementation of chromatographic analysis methods, software development; development of microprocessor management and control systems etc.  

Traditionally, the advanced equipment and devices of the world-known trademarks, the leading world and local manufacturers was shown at «LABComplEX-2009» in operation. Within the framework of presentations of the participating companies, every visitor could conduct practical researches on the operating equipment.

The specialists, who visited the 2-nd International Specialized Exhibition of Integrated Support of Laboratories «LABComplEX-2009» were offered a vast business program. In the course of 3 days of the exhibition, parallel work went on in the 6 conference halls of «KievExpoPlaza» exhibition complex.

Conference of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine «Modern Developments of Scientific Equipment of Leading Instrument-making Companies. Development of Sharing Centres of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine» was held on September, 30. The representatives of various institutes of the NAS of Ukraine presented their reports within the framework of the conference. The reports were dedicated to the issues of developments of institutes of the NAS of Ukraine in the sphere of scientific instrument-making, use of modern equipment for scientific researches in various spheres of science, and provision of establishments of the NAS of Ukraine by a modern scientific equipment. Special attention was paid to representatives of the companies, presenting the leading producers of high-tech equipment in the Ukrainian market. The representatives of participating companies Carl Zeiss, Tokyo Boeki CIS Ltd., LECO Instrumente Plzen spol. s r.o., Macrochem JSC, Alsi-Chrome LLC, Intertech Corporation and Shimadzu reported on performance capabilities of such equipment for scientific research. 

During workshop conference «Reformation of Laboratory Service at the Present Stage: Centralization of Laboratory Tests; Provision of Family Doctors with Reliable and Quick Tests» which lasted for two days (September, 30 - October, 1) 3 round scientific tables took place. The issues of reformation of laboratory service of Ukraine, performance capabilities of modern equipment for laboratory medicine, issues of quality of laboratory researches guarantee, standardizations of laboratory medicine as well as many other issues were discussed within the framework of round tables. Within the framework of the conference, the floor was given to the companies specialized in providing equipment for clinicodiagnostic laboratories: Roche Diagnostics, Pharmasko, Abbot Laboratories, DiaVeritas LTD, and MeDis. The workshop conference was organized by All-Ukrainian Association of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine.

30 September, the Ukrainian Association of Quality, with participation of the National Agency for Accreditation of Ukraine and Union of Testing Centres of Ukraine held a seminar dedicated to «Relevant Issues of Accreditation of Testing Laboratories». 

The business program of the Forum attracted specialists of various industries.

Round table «Express Analysis and Provision for Quality of Unboiled Milk» held by Independent expert of milk sector M.G. Pavlichenko, a representative of international “Dairy Magazine” T. Antonenko, and the Union of Milk Enterprises of Ukraine was held on October 1. 

On October 2, State Company «Ukrmetrteststandart» held Seminar on the most challenging issue, namely, content of genetically modified organisms in food products. The representatives of the State Company familiarized specialists with requirements to marking and labelling of food products with GMO content being introduced in Ukraine and worldwide. The practical issues of implementation of the Cabinet of Ministers Regulation dated 13.05.2009 №468 and problematic issues connected with the use of GMO.

The specialists were offered seminars on the use of equipment and presentation of new equipment. The representatives of participating companies reported on the capabilities of advanced technologies and equipment for various profile laboratories. Among them: Tokyo Boeki CIS Ltd., Intertech Corporation, Fritsch GmbH, DiaVeritas LTD, Aurum Lab LTD, Bruker BioSpin GmbH, company Ecomed Munchen Haus and many others.

Following completion of work of «LABComplEX-2009», it will be functioning on its Internet site in the course of one year. The visitors of the site will be soon offered the information about the companies operating in the market of laboratory equipment, latest news of companies, information about new equipment, schedules for the holding of various seminars and conferences, video- and photo-reports of «LABComplEX-2009».

One may safely say today that «LABComplEX-2009» exhibition is an effective instrument for work of its participants and their target audience.
